At the moment, connecting to a label printer in CartonCloud is quite difficult for warehouse staff. The setting is really buried in the back-end, and there’s no search function, so you have to scroll through a long list of printer names to find the right one.
In a warehouse environment, this just isn’t practical. Staff often grab whichever mobile printer is available when they start their shift, but because changing the connection is time-consuming and not very user-friendly, they tend to stick to the same printer each day instead.
It would be a big improvement if users could:
Easily search for a printer by name
Quickly connect/disconnect from printers from a simple front-end option
Have a “one-click” or quick-select option for available printers
Ideally, a staff member could walk in, pick up any available printer (e.g. “Printer 123”), connect to it in seconds, and get started straight away.
This would make daily setup much faster, reduce frustration, and give the warehouse team more flexibility in how they work.
