I would like to be able to add a feature to repeating consignments whereby I can specify that when the consignment is created, it will set the requested/required delivery date to X days from when it is created, effectively allowing me to create these consignments prior to the day they are required to be completed.

definitely agree that this should be an option. We have many repeat consignments and we need it to generate for the date its deliverying too
